A Short Geological History of Vermont

Up to 12,300 years ago, we in Vermont were under ice. That's pretty nice. It's cool under ice. It's good in juice, and probably Kool-Aid but I wouldn't know 'cause Kool-Aid's made by Band-Aid and I boycott what they made 'cause it's man-made Kool-Aid and maybe has cyanide, leaves you convulsified side to side and up and down, but you'll never drown 'cause there is air in ice, not in water which no doubt about it, can't live without it.

Now come on along and sing a geology song:
Shist and shale and an ancient whale
rocks and fossils, pieces of bottles
mud and cracks and dinosaur tracks
volcanoes and bones and small creatures homes
Precambrian plants and huge desert ants
bedding and layers and petrified hairs
These are a few of my favorite things.
