Letters From 1998

  1. January

    • Dearest Members of Phish:
In high school, were you the popular or unpopular kids?
      Huge Fan, Nathan Corddry
      Dear Nathan,:
I think I'm speaking for all of us when I say I was the Captain of the football team.
    • Dear Phish:
When you guys record a song how many times does it take for you to get it as perfect as you want it to be?
      Kevin Davis
      Kevin,:
Sometimes there's nothing like the first take, it goes downhill from there. Other times there's nothing like the 45th take. Those songs take on new identities every 11 takes. Sometimes take #2 is chopped together with the end of take #9. This is done with a razor blade, under the command of Mr. John Siket.
    • Dear Page:
You seem like you dress up in khakis at an occasional concert. Do you dress up when someone special is there, or what?
      Phasion Watcher
      Phasion Watcher:
This is Mike answering for Page. He just likes to look good.
    • Dear Mike:
I would like to know who picks out the music to be played over the P.A. system before and after every concert. My personal favorite is a little Jimi Hendrix before a concert and some Patsy Cline after the show.
      Thank You, Ryan Heimberger
      Ryan:
Paul is the big time D.J. here. He is the M.C., the W.O.
