Letters From 1998

  1. March

    • Dear Phish:
      When leaving the show we always see your buses pass us. Sometimes an hour down the Road. Your buses go flying past us, really fast. Others we overheated next to you after Chicago (Tinley Park) on our way to Alpine. Saw your buses up the highway one in California. They always zip right by us. We always use our horn to say hello. Any way who drives your busses. Do the band members ever drive?
      Thank you for the music, Joel
      Joel::
      Page drives a few minutes a year, but the main man is Dominic. He is cooler than you're imagining. He films tollbooths. By the way, I love your words "others we overheated next to you after Chicago."
    • Dear Phish:
      Phish is the only non-metal band I really like. Has this genre influenced any of you? Are there other Phish-head-bangers out there?
      Thanks, Andrew Labarrere
      Andrew:
      Two of us heard a speed-metal song on a big speaker system, south of the Carolinas. It was so speedy that the album was instantly purchased. And now we're courting that album's producer.
