At the end of December, Phish returns to Madison Square Garden in New York, New York for a four-show New Year’s Run to close out 2012. Trey Anastasio Band will return to the road in 2013, spotlighting material from his new solo album, Traveler. The run will kick off on January 18, 2013 with a show at Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, ON. The WaterWheel Foundation continues to celebrate their 15th Anniversary. Their pre-show event earlier this year in San Francisco raised over $22,000 for Bay Area charities. On December 11, 2012, Phish will release “Star Lake 98”, a brand new 2-DVD set recorded live on August 11, 1998 at Star Lake Amphitheatre in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. The “Star Lake 98” show was the 20th of summer to display the loose, experimental vibe of a tour that began in Europe and jumped to the United States enroute to the summer’s ending Lemonwheel festival.

This Tuesday, September 25, Phish will release “December 6, 1997, The Palace of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills MI” as the next remastered show to join the ongoing LivePhish Archives collection. The show will be available as a download at LivePhish.com and as a 2-CD LivePhish Limited set exclusively from Phish Dry Goods. The release was created from Paul Languedoc’s DAT stereo soundboard mix remastered by Fred Kevorkian and contains 16 songs totaling two and a half hours of music.

Phish’s third show at The Palace on December 6, 1997 was yet another defining fall ’97 gig, with an under-recognized set I and a renowned set II that must be heard in one sitting, preferably loud with headphones.

Jon Fishman will be performing for three nights in NYC on October 26-28 with Everyone Orchestra at Sullivan Hall. Fishman, John Kadlecik, Reed Mathis and Jamie Masefield will be the core band for all three nights. Tickets are on sale now.
