Last May, Les Claypool (Primus) and Stewart Copeland (The Police) joined forces with Trey during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival for a memorable performance at the Saenger Theatre.

They called themselves Oysterhead, and that night they performed a diverse blend of original compositions and choice covers – all pulled together over a few days of rehearsal. The latest chapter has now commenced at Trey’s Barn studio – on April 3rd they began recording an album together with Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, Primus, Bill Laswell) at the board. Recording will continue throughout April and into May. No release dates have been set, but it’s likely that the album will come out this fall.
