Funky Bitch from soundcheck included some alternative lyrics about “a money taking mama”. This was the 1st Carolina played in the Carolinas in more than a year and a half (since 2/17/93). Old Home Place and Nellie Kane were performed acoustic with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on banjo, Page on upright bass and Fish on mandolin. Foreplay/Long Time was also performed acoustic with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on banjo, Page on upright bass and Fish on Madonna washboard. Guelah Papyrus included The Simpsons secret language during the pause before The Fly. This was the 1st Manteca played in about a year and a half (since 5/5/93). It was also the 1st and only time that Manteca was sandwiched inside David Bowie. After the return from Manteca, the band revisited/teased Manteca during the latter part of Bowie.
