Show Notes

Amongst some sailing and golfing time, the band performed this private 1-set jazz show at Page's parents' housewarming party. It is thought to have happened on Monday 5/28 but could possibly have taken place Sunday 5/27. This show, attended by family and friends, featured the 1st known "public" performances of My Funny Valentine (Rodgers and Hart cover), Bill Bailey Won't You Please Come Home, Piano Boogie Woogie Jam and I've Got You Under My Skin (Cole Porter cover). Page's dad, Jack McConnell joined the band for Bill Bailey. A practice session took place beforehand on either 5/27 or 5/28 that included at least the following songs: Bill Bailey, On The Sunny Side Of The Street and In A Mellow Tone. The practice marked the 1st known performances of Bill Bailey Won't You Please Come Home (Hughie Cannon cover) and On The Sunny Side Of The Street (Jimmy McHugh and Dorothy Fields cover). While there is no evidence that it was recognized at the time, this gig is believed to have been the band's 400th show.
