Show Notes

This was the first show of Phish’s only 2-night stand at The Mann. Reserved tickets cost $20 and the show was sold out. Trey sang the verses of Fee through his megaphone. Suzy Greenberg included a Lifeboy tease. This show featured an especially dark and experimental David Bowie that clocked in at nearly 25 minutes as Trey and Mike ran around the stage. Between Acoustic Army and Sweet Adeline (after Page blew his pitch pipe), Trey thanked the audience for being a great, quiet audience for Acoustic Army and Sweet Adeline. Trey also said “I’d also like to thank this guy in the front row for giving us these nice hats.” The “hats” turned out to be surgical masks which the band put on and wore for Sweet Adeline. Upon taking the stage for the encore (before Bold As Love) the band played Random Note and, subtly, The Simpsons secret language.
