This was the third show of Phish's first holiday tour and the 1st Phish New Year's Eve show, billed as the "1st Annual New Year's Eve Extravaganza - creative formal attire requested." The December 1989 Phish Update added "International hors d' oeuvres & Champagne will be provided compliments of the band!" Trey and Mike wore tuxedos and top hats and Fish wore a top hat and a g-string with tuxedo tails for I Didn't Know. The events lasted from 8pm until 2:30am and the Ululators opened. Auld Lang Syne included the New Year's Eve countdown to 1990.
