Show Notes

This was the second show of a 2-night stand at the Arrowhead of all ages shows billed as Phish with Special Guests: The Giant Country Horns. Tickets were $17.50. The Giant Country Horns were Dave "The Truth" Grippo, Russell "Killer" Remington and Carl "Gears" Gerhard. TR3 and The Radiators opened. Weekapaug Groove included a tease of the Bonanza Theme. Gumbo featured a horn reprise - similar to the performance released years later on "A Live One". The entire encore (Gumbo, Touch Me, Fee and Suzy Greenberg) included "Steve-O from New Orleans" sitting in on washboard. Fish exposed himself during Touch Me - an act he didn't repeat until 10/31/94. Fee and Suzy Greenberg comprised a second encore - played after the band left the stage and returned following Touch Me. Trey announced Amy's Farm (8/3/91) from the stage, calling it "a free show with camping and swimming". Multi-colored Amy's Farm invitations were distributed during the gig. Thanks to a DAT soundboard recording that quickly circulated, this show became many fans' first high quality sampling of Phish's music.
