Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show at the Patriot Center, a basketball arena with a capacity of about 10,000. The show was listed in the April/May 1994 Doniac Schvice as “TBA Call Hotline (a show will definitely happen on this date)”. Tickets cost $20.00. Trey’s foot was in a brace due to torn ligaments. Before Fish’s vacuum solo during I Didn’t Know, Trey announced that “Greasy Fizeek is now going to paint a musical picture in his mind with the uber vacuum cleaner of what he thinks of Mike’s special black socks that he has on tonight…a musical picture from Greasy Fizeek.” My Sweet One featured an unusually pregnant pause and Random Note secret language before the final lyric. Cavern included a tease of Foxy Lady. After the 1st Cracklin’ Rosie of 1994 (complete with “B-AH” clash cymbals), Trey again introduced Fish as Greasy Fizeek.
