Louisville Gardens
Louisville, KY, US

Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s only show at Louisville Gardens – a historic basketball arena opened in 1905 with a capacity of 6,850. Tickets cost $20.00 and the show was sold out. With Halloween Fever at an all time high about the Michael Jackson musical costume rumor, the tune-up before Buried Alive and Possum both included Beat It teases. Set II featured the 1st It’s Ice > Kung > It’s Ice sequence (see 12/30/95). The Makisupa keyword(s) were a tribute to the crew: “woke up in the morning Root Doc on my head, woke up in the afternoon, Toph Kud in my bed.” Shaggy Dog was played for the 1st time in more than five years (since 5/6/92). After this show the band and crew traveled 294 miles overnight to Chicago, Illinois for a day off in preparation for Halloween.
