Show Notes

This was an 18-and-over show. The gig was not listed in the Mar/Apr 92 Phish Update but was confirmed in the Apr/May 92 Update. Possum’s intro included Yield Not To Temptation and Dixie teases, and The Simpsons, Finger Scrape. Oom Pah Pah and Fall Down secret language, and Simpsons ending. After Split Open And Melt, Trey said “that was a little something by Nirvana.” The band started set II before The Landlady with some strange laughing. Mike’s Song had some unusual backing vocals during the verses. During the opening of The Lizards, Trey said “this is for Liz.” Fee featured alternative lyrics “so have a cup of espresso and catch your breath.”. Before the first of two Cold As Ice intros, Trey introduced Fish as Henrietta. Fish, being surprised by feedback, was about to explain who the song was written by (Neil Diamond) and instead blurted out “Jesus Christ” to the rest of the band’s amusement.
