This was an all ages, 1-set show opening for Santana. The Santa Barbara County Bowl is a scenic historic amphitheater built in the mid-1930's with a capacity about 4,600 nestled in the hills outside Santa Barbara. The band had been in the neighborhood just four months earlier when they tore the roof off a partially-empty Anaconda Theater but this show was completely sold out. Taping was not allowed at the Santana shows and no audience recording of this show is known to circulate.
