This show took place in a historic, wooden-floored Art Deco theater built in 1940 with a capacity of 1,857. Possum contained The Simpsons and Oom Pah Pah secret language. Magilla included teases of Stash and The Benny Hill Theme aka Yakety Sax. Run Like An Antelope contained multiple teases of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, some of which found the audience singing-along. During Trey’s Fly Famous Mockingbird narration, he said “now we’ll drink from the magical glass of wine” which caused Mike to play the “mystic ritualistic ancient riff” which made the audience’s blood carbonate. The story goes that the venue then turned into a giant soda can which, when shaken, sprayed into a cloud of mist that erupted into a storm that rained the audience into Gamehendge. “As you’re falling you start to recite the ritualistic words to let yourself into Gamehendge”, namely Kung, which led into the first performance of Icculus in nearly a year (since 5/2/92) and the only Icculus of 1993. Weekapaug Groove contained more teases of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da as well as a Don’t Get Me Wrong jam. Sweet Adeline was performed without microphones. Have Mercy from soundcheck included a special “You can feel good about Hood” Harry Hood chorus section at the end.
