Triad Amphitheater
Salt Lake City, UT, US

Set List

Show Notes

This was the first show of the second leg of the touring year. It was Phish’s second performance in Utah (it had been since 8/21/93) and the 1st and only Phish show at this venue – a small amphitheater with a capacity of about 3,000. Advance tickets cost $17.50. Trey sang the verses of Fee through his megaphone. Ginseng Sullivan was subsequently performed acoustic without amplification with Trey on acoustic guitar, Mike on upright bass, Page on Melodica and Fish on Madonna washboard. This summer was the first full summer tour with a designated tapers section. Phish News in the June/July 1994 Doniac Schvice stated “A number of these shows (any with reserved seats) will require taping tickets – please refer to the concert taping info. box. Many of the venues we will be playing this summer have strict curfews. Therefore, in order to play a full length show we need to begin at the showtime stated on the ticket. Please don’t wait until the last minute to enter the venue to help avoid the bottleneck that often happens near showtime.” The Schvice also included, for the first time, a Phish Taper Info. hotline in addition to the usual Phish Hotline and noted that “The video for Down With Disease has been added into rotation on MTV. To request it call 1-800-DIALMTV.” This was Phish’s 1st and only MTV style video. It was directed by Mike and featured live footage from 12/31/93 Down With Disease Jam and Trey’s dog, Marley along with studio footage.
