Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show at Memorial Hall, a historic theater/concert hall/professional wrestling house built in 1925 with a capacity of about 3,200.  This show’s soundcheck began with the 1st known performance of I Wish (albeit instrumental) in seven and a half years (since 10/30/85).  The Fly Famous Mockingbird narration established a driving theme with crew truck driver Terry hitching up the venue and towing it to the world’s largest ski jump in Colorad, from which Memorial Hall ski-jumped through space to Gamehendge.  My Friend My Friend began with Trey on acoustic guitar.  Weekapaug Groove included a brief silent jam and a Can’t You Hear Me Knocking ending.  Before If I Only Had A Brain, Fish joked that he was sick of being a drummer and was moving on to get a Vermont Commercial Driver’s License.  After the Hold Your Head Up outro, Trey introduced Fish as “Henrietta Tubman on vacuum.”  Sweet Adeline was performed without microphones.
