This was Phish’s only show at Dane County Coliseum – a hockey arena opened in 1967 with a capacity of 10,250. Tickets cost $19.50 and the show was sold out. This show, during the soundcheck and set I, featured the 1st “Taste That Surrounds” – a variation on Taste (and Fog That Surrounds) that was played in this arrangement just 14 times from 10/24/95-12/29/95. Trey sang the verses of Fee through his megaphone. Sleeping Monkey began A capella out of a scary You Enjoy Myself vocal jam that included teases of Ha Ha Ha. This Run Like An Antelope was so over the top that some refer to it simply as The Dane County Antelope. After this show the band and crew traveled 271 miles overnight to St. Paul, Minnesota.
