Show Notes

This show marked the beginning of the band’s second tour of the South.  Before Ya Mar, Trey thanked the crowd, saying how happy the band was to be back in the South and specifically in Virginia.  During You Enjoy Myself, Mike changed a broken string while Fish, who was introduced as Henrietta, played a vacuum solo.  Trey teased Stairway To Heaven (Led Zeppelin cover) during Suzy Greenberg.  Before Uncle Pen, Trey said “now we’re going to play a Bill Monroe song, Uncle Pen.”  Sweet Adeline was performed a cappella but with microphones.  Tweezer featured Fish screaming excitedly during the jam.  Take The ‘A’ Train included teases of McGrupp And The Watchful Hosemasters and Run Like An Antelope as well as teases of what would become the Destiny Unbound rhythm by Page and Trey.  After Run Like An Antelope, Trey announced that the band would be playing at The Old Post Office in Hilton Head, South Carolina after Raleigh.  This venue later became known as Kahootz (where Phish played 2/20/91).
