Show Notes

This was the 1st show of the summer tour and Phish’s 1st show in Idaho.  The venue was a multi-purpose arena with a capacity of 12,043.  Ttickets cost $20.00.  Before this show, the crew, which now numbered thirty-two including drivers, had a few days of tech. rehearsal at the BSU Pavilion.  This was the debut of Trey’s percussion kit (used throughout most of 1995, 1996 and spring 1997) and of the new Marj Minkin canvas scrims on the sides of the stage.  This show featured the 1st Taste and Acoustic Army played, the latter of which an instrumental which featured the entire band on acoustic guitars.  Wedge was played for the 1st time at a show in nearly two years (since 8/20/93) although it was played at the 6/17/94 soundcheck.  Fish played trombone during Lonesome Cowboy Bill.  While My Guitar Gently Weeps was played for the 4th time ever and the first time as an encore.  After this show, the band and crew traveled 339 miles overnight to Salt Lake City.
