Chicago Ticketing Update

We wanted to update everyone about ticketing for Phish’s July 19th, 20th and 21st shows in Chicago. The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a reconfiguration of Charter One Pavilion on Northerly Island that will allow for the creation of a General Admission lawn area by opening the venue into the park adjacent to the existing venue.

GA Lawn tickets will be $45.00 ($120.00 for a 3 Day Ticket) and will be available for sale through Ticketmaster when the shows go on sale Friday, March 29th at 10:00am Central.

Phish’s 2013 Summer Tour Announced

Phish kicks off its 2013 Summer Tour with its first-ever concert at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine on July 3, which will be followed by a three-night stand at Saratoga Performing Arts Center July 5-7. The outing will also include the band’s return to Canada in close to thirteen years and their first shows at Northerly Island, a 91-acre peninsula that juts into Lake Michigan and offers a stunning view of the Chicago skyline.

Hands On A Hardbody In Previews On Broadway

Hands On A Hardbody, a new musical on Broadway with music by Trey Anastasio and Amanda Green is in previews now. Inspired by true events, the new musical features a book by Doug Wright (Pulitzer Prize winner, I Am My Own Wife), lyrics by Amanda Green (Bring it On: The Musical) and music by Trey Anastasio and Amanda Green.

Directed by Neil Pepe (Speed-the-Plow) with musical staging by Sergio Trujillo (Memphis, Jersey Boys), it is based on the acclaimed 1997 documentary of the same name by S.R. Bindler, produced by Kevin Morris and Bindler.

Trey Anastasio’s Blue Ash And Other Suburbs Released on RSD

On Record Store Day 2013, Trey Anastasio will release Blue Ash And Other Suburbs, a limited edition picture disc vinyl, available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country. The 7″ picture disc features outtakes from the Traveler sessions that were co-produced by Trey and Peter Katis in Fall, 2011 and Original artwork by Micah Lidberg.

Phish ‘Lawn Boy’ Deluxe 2-LP Vinyl Available For Record Store Day

On Record Store Day 2013, Phish will release Lawn Boy, the band’s second full-length studio album, as a Limited Edition Deluxe 2-LP vinyl set, available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country. Lawn Boy marks the band’s third release in conjunction with Record Store Day (joining Two Soundchecks and Junta) and the first time Lawn Boy has been available on vinyl in well over a decade.

Additional Meter Men with Page McConnell Dates Added

More dates have been added to Page McConnell’s run with The Meter Men. In addition to their performance at New Orleans Jazz Fest on Sunday, May 5, and their stops at Republic in NOLA, Page will perform on keyboards with The Meter Men in Florida, Colorado, and two newly announced performances on March 22 at the Grand Ballroom (At The Manhattan Center) in New York, NY and March 23 at Union Transfer in Philadelphia, PA.

The Meter Men features three original members of The Meters, including drummer Zigaboo Modeliste, guitarist Leo Nocentelli and bassist George Porter, Jr.

Trey Performs With National Symphony Orchestra At Washington DC’s Kennedy Center

on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 8 p.m, Trey Anastasio will join the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington, DC. The one-time-only performance, titled NSO Pops: Trey Anastasio, will feature orchestrations of classic Phish songs and solo Anastasio compositions. The concert will be conducted by NSO Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke. Tickets to this performance go on sale to the public on Friday, February 15, at 10:00 AM ET. Trey Anastasio Band heads West in April for another quick Traveler run. It will kick off on April 16, 2013 at the Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA. TAB then heads south for a date in Portland, OR and pulls out a pair back-to-back shows in Oakland, CA.

In late October of last year, Hurricane Sandy bore down on the Atlantic seaboard. The result was devastating for coastal areas from the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic to New England and reached as far inland as the Appalachian Mountains and parts of the Midwest and Canada.
