For fans looking to pick up an audiophile black 180g 2-LP vinyl version (available May 20 and in stores then), they can pre-order it today at Phish Dry Goods: http://dry.gd/hoistLP. On Record Store Day (Saturday, April 16), Phish will release “Hoist”, the band’s fifth full-length studio album, as a limited, individually numbered, 180g 2-LP orange splatter colored vinyl set, available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country.
In September 2015, Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering cut the lacquers from the 1/2″ flat master reels for the vinyl edition, (the colored version of which will be released on Record Store Day). Each LP includes a free MP3 download of the album transferred from the vinyl.
