Trey Anastasio and his 9-piece band will play 10 concerts nationwide over two weeks in May and June this spring, performing at a mix of theatres and auditoriums.
The tour culminates with a two-night headlining stint at Burlington’s Discover Jazz Festival.
The band is the same as his 2002 lineup, consisting of Anastasio, bassist Tony Markellis, drummer Russ Lawton, keyboardist Ray Paczkowsi, trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick, alto saxophonist Dave Grippo, saxophonist Peter Apfelbaum, trombonist Andy Moroz, tenor saxophonist and flutist Russell Remington and percussionist Cyro Baptista.
The tour comes on the heels of the double live CD “Plasma”, due in stores on April 29. The set features over two hours of performances chosen from Trey’s Summer and Fall 2002 tours. Plasma also features seven tracks previously unreleased, as well as covers of Bob Marley’s “Small Axe” and Phish’s “Magilla”.
