We’re pleased to announce that Mike Gordon will release his solo debut “INSIDE IN” August 26 on Ropeadope Records.

Four years in the making, INSIDE IN started with OUTSIDE OUT, Mike’s first feature film. With the theatrical and DVD releases behind him, Mike went back to the mostly instrumental soundtrack and significantly reworked the material, creating songs out of jams and adding lyrics to pieces that previously had none. Though there’s clearly a link between film and album, it is only loosely a soundtrack.

All fifteen tracks were penned by Mike, who plays all guitars and basses as well as Wurlitzer, accordion, washing machine, cow tilt, etc. In addition, Gordon’s backed by an all-star band: drummer Russ Lawton,
James Harvey on trombone, piano and clavinet, and Gordon Stone on pedal steel. Special guests include Jon Fishman, Bela Fleck, Jeff Coffin, Craig Johnson, Col. Bruce Hampton (ret.), Future Man, Buddy Cage, and Vassar Clements.
