This was Phish’s only performance at Tenax – a Firenze nightclub opened in 1981 with a capacity of 1500. Tickets cost L 30.000. The Funky Bitch soundcheck was the (moreso than usual) slow version and the Dog Log soundcheck was played to the music of slow Funky Bitch. You Enjoy Myself was notable for its return to the namesake of the lyric “Wash Uffizi Drive Me to Firenze”, which Fish called “a dream come true!” Run Like An Antelope was unfinished with a heavy metal jammed “Rye, Rye, Rocco” section. Continuing a theme, Wilson was the heavy metal version. Reba ended without whistling. After this show the band and crew traveled 175 miles overnight to Rome.
