Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s first performance at the Starplex Amphitheatre – a modern shed in the Dallas Fair Park complex opened in 1988 with a capacity of 20,100. Tickets cost $25.00. The Funky Bitch soundcheck was performed in a slow blues style and included Bob Gullotti on a second drum kit as did the two Blues Jams that followed. The Makisupa key words were “breakfast at the Fog…couple of Lemon Drops and some Nugs” referencing the Fog Diner that had recently opened in Dallas. Set II and encore also featured Bob Gullotti on a second drum kit. Chalk Dust Torture was unfinished and segued smoothly into Taste. Drums began with Page as keys-and-drums “Leo and drummers, Leo and drummers.” After this show the band and crew traveled 185 miles overnight to Austin.
