Show Notes
This was Phish’s second performance at Nassau Coliseum and the second show of a 2-night stand, known, along with the following 2-night stand at Providence Civic Center, as “Island Tour.” Tickets cost $25.00 and the show was sold out. Weekapaug Groove included vocals from Crosseyed And Painless and a tease of Mozambique (which was debuted later that month by Trey’s 8 Foot Fluorescent Tubes and on 9/9/99 by Phish), the theme from Brazil, and Nellie Kane. Roses Are Free led to a 21+ minute “Nassau Jam.” An audience member jumped onstage and ran across the stage during the “Beautiful Buzz” end of Loving Cup – he staged dived off as Carini chased him, just as Antelope began and Fish commented, “Don’t let Carini get you!”, which Trey picked up with a “Carini’s gonna get you” refrain in Antelope. This show was released in 2005 on CD, download and streaming as part of LivePhish The Island Tour.
