This was Phish’s second performance at Alpine Valley. Tickets cost $27.75 and the show was sold out. Warped Jam from the soundcheck included an Ain’t Love Funny/Waterwheel Rap and the Funky Bitch soundcheck was sung by Trey. Tears of a Clown was teased during the tuneup before Theme From The Bottom. Reba ended without whistling. The Scent Of A Mule duel was between Trey and Mike after Page’s solo, which they began facing each other and ended lying on the ground playing and doing bicycle kicks. Weekapaug Groove contained teases of Can’t You Hear Me Knocking. This was the first Crossroads played in nearly two years (since 12/9/95). Ghost > Taste from this show were released in 2010 on the Wisconsin Edition bonus disc that was included with the Alpine Valley 2010 DVD/CD box set. After this show the band and crew traveled 286 miles overnight to Indianapolis.
