This was Phish’s only performance at Wartesaal – a nightclub located in the only building complex of Cologne central (train) station that escaped bombing in World War II. Capacity for this show was 1000 and tickets cost DM 35,00. The soundcheck’s Crosseyed And Painless included teases of Swingtown. This was the 1st Beauty Of My Dreams played (Del McCoury Band cover) by Phish. The show was rebroadcast on the WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) Rockpalast television show in Germany on 2/18/97 as an 80-minute cutdown and again on 3/2/97 as a full show. After this show the band and crew traveled 320 miles overnight to Amsterdam.
