Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s first performance at McNichols Sports Arena – a basketball and hockey arena known as “Big Mac” opened in 1975 with a capacity of 16,000. It was the first show of a 2-night stand and tickets cost $22.50. This was the 1st Farmhouse played at a show, although it had been debuted on Late Night with Conan O’Brien on 11/7. Both Bluegrass Jams from soundcheck, as well as Scent Of A Mule and Poor Heart in set I featured Pete Wernick (Dr. Banjo) on banjo. Scent Of A Mule contained a tease of Foggy Mountain Breakdown (Flatt & Scruggs cover). Set II opened with a huge Timber with a jam that included a tease/foreshadowing of Frankie Says. Harry Hood was unfinished. The post-show house music was Theme from The Godfather. The Saw It Again soundcheck was released in 2009 as a LivePhish11 iTunes bonus.
