Show Notes

This was Phish’s sixth performance at Worcester Centrum Centre – the last show of a sold-out 3-night stand. Tickets cost $25.00. Funky Bitch was unfinished and included an unusual jam near the end. Wolfman’s Brother went unhinged with a dark metal jam mashup based on Sanity, some of which lyrics were narrated over the Heartbreaker’ish jam along with the “Esther tried in vain” line from Esther and some Mike foot bell during the transition to Love Me. At one point, Trey asked Chris to kill the lights so they could jam in the dark – Mike emerged with a backup guitar for a a double guitar jam with Trey. Stash was unfinished and melted into Free, which landed in an ambient jam that led to Piper. This was the 1st Them Changes (Band of Gypsies cover by Buddy Miles) played by Phish. After this show the band and crew traveled 277 miles overnight to Philadelphia for a day off.
