Show Notes
This was Phish’s second show at Zeleste and the second show of a 3-night stand. Tickets cost 2000 pts and listed Sala Bikini (Bikini Club) as the venue, but the show was moved to Zeleste due to demand. Trey dedicated the show opener to drum tech Pete Carini and told the story mid-song of how a lighting truss fell on Carini’s head at the previous show when a fan he was chasing off stage grabbed it on his way down. Tweezer included Fire (Ohio Players) and Wolfman’s Brother teases. Hello My Baby was performed A cappella without microphones. Harry Hood was unfinished and included a Drowned tease. Brad made an announcement after the band left the stage that the next night’s show would start exactly at 9p due to the 12:20a curfew (the first two shows started later). Harry Hood was unfinished and segued directly into Izabella. The crowd chanted “Olé Olé Olé!” before and during the end of Chalk Dust Torture encore, which the band extended into an Olé tease. Todd Phillips’ film crew shot footage at this show for what would become the film Bittersweet Motel.
