This was Phish’s only performance at La Laiterie – a former dairy turned nightclub with a capacity of 1,000. Tickets cost FrF 90. The soundcheck listing is incomplete but included the 1st known The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys (Traffic cover) performed by Phish. Guelah Papyrus “couldn’t go on” and was aborted for Runaway Jim. This was the third Runaway Jim > Gypsy Queen > Runaway Jim combination of three to-date (see also 8/7/96 and 3/2/97). Reba ended without whistling. After this show the band and crew traveled 330 miles overnight to Lille, France.
