This was Phish’s third performance at Walnut Creek. Capacity was about 20,000, tickets cost $25.00, and the show was sold out. Set I took place during a huge lightning storm and downpour – the band played along with the storm during Taste as lightning struck the stage and much of the crowd got completely soaked. Trey teased Mother (Pink Floyd cover) during Bye Bye Foot. Setbreak was extended to allow the storm to pass. Down With Disease was unfinished, dropping effortlessly into Mike’s Song. Weekapaug Groove contained an I Am Hydrogen tease and a Can’t You Hear Me Knocking ending. This show was released in 2008 as the Walnut Creek DVD, along with a bonus CD entitled Left Nuts and an audio download of 6/16/95 You Enjoy Myself that was not included on the bonus CD. After this show the band and crew traveled 398 miles overnight to Atlanta.
