This was Phish’s second (and last to-date) performance at Bryce Jordan Center. Tickets cost $22.50. The Penn State Soundcheck Jam out of Dog Log included a “Chain Link Fence…In The Cage” rap with lyrics about Paul in the FOH mix position. Mike’s Song ended with a cow funk jam with stop/starts akin to 12/3/97 post-Possum Philly ’97 Jam, 12/6/97 post-Izabella jam and 12/7/97 post-Tube Dayton Jam. Chalk Dust Torture included a Buried Alive tease. This was the only time that Stash was paired with I Am Hydrogen. Simple erupted into a deep jam that melted into Timber. Harry Hood featured a short (10 second or so) return to Axilla. After this show the band and crew traveled 234 miles overnight to Rochester, New York for a day off.
