Phish - 1997

Longhorn
Stuttgart, Germany

Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s only show to-date at Longhorn – a cowboy/western themed nightclub with a capacity of 1500. Tickets cost DM 35,00. Earlier this day before the show the band did an in-studio appearance at SWF3 Radio Studios in Baden-Baden where they performed Talk, Waste, Train Song, Walfredo and a Goodbye Jam and played Free and Billy Breathes from the new album. A promotional EP for Billy Breathes was released this day including Theme From The Bottom and Strange Design (Strange Design was only included on International CD versions). This was the first Camel Walk in more than a year (since 7/2/95), first Magilla in nearly three years (since 5/4/94), and first Dog Log and While My Guitar Gently Weeps in more than a year (since 12/11/95). This rarity-filled setlist was formulated, in part, to play a gag on Eric Larson who arrived in Germany in time for the following gig. Ha Ha Ha included a heavy metal jam outro. You Enjoy Myself contained teases of Super Bad. Trey teased Dave’s Energy Guide during Theme From The Bottom and Mike teased Take The ‘A’ Train during the jazzy Jam in the Scent Of A Mule Duel. After this show the band and crew traveled 400 miles overnight to Berlin for a day off.
