Phish - 1997

L'Aeronef
Lille, France

Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s only performance at L’Aeronef (English translation: “The Aircraft”) – a nightclub/theater/concert hall located in the Euralille building with a capacity of 1,000. Tickets cost FrF 100. Down With Disease contained Can’t You Hear Me Knocking teases. This was the 1st Meatstick played and the 1st Cecilia (Simon and Garfunkel cover with Fish a cappella vocals and drumsticks on a pillow) played by Phish. Flowing smoothly out of the Meatstick funk, this spacey McGrupp was performed as narrated reggae – in the early style – and included teases of Makisupa Policeman, which was ultimately unfinished. Run Like An Antelope included full crew introductions by Trey, Happy Birthday to Dickie Scotland (Richard Glasgow), an Amy Skelton introduction (even though she wasn’t there) and alternate lyrics for Antelope Greg. After this show the band and crew traveled 300 miles overnight to Somerset, England for a day off.
