Show Notes

This was Phish’s fifth performance at The Spectrum and the second show of a 2-night stand. Tickets cost $25.00. Fish played this show wearing a Flyers jersey. Drowned contained a Couldn’t Stand the Weather jam (Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble cover). Trey teased Super Bad during 2001. Set II started with a Charge! tease in the tuneup before David Bowie, which was unfinished and included Take Me Out To The Ball Game and Baby Elephant Walk (see also 8/15/98) teases and The Simpsons secret language. The Jam out of Possum featured some high-speed cow funk, stop/starts and Mike foot bell. After this show the band and crew traveled 433 miles overnight to Cleveland for a day off. This show and the previous night were released in 2023 as ‘The Spectrum ’97’ box set.
