Set List

Show Notes

This was Phish’s first show at Zeleste – a music club/concert hall opened (in this location) in 1986 with a capacity of 2,000. This was the first show of a 3-night stand. Tickets cost 2000 pts and listed Sala Bikini (Bikini Club) as the venue, but the show was moved to Zeleste due to demand. After Frankenstein, Trey announced that they’d been waiting to play some Edgar Winter in Spain and that this was their chance – he subsequently teased Free Ride before Beauty Of My Dreams. Fish teased Frankie Says before Frankenstein. The set II opener was the only Wilson > Birds Of A Feather pairing to-date. In the beginning of Sleeping Monkey, Trey started chanting “Olé Olé Olé” and told a story of the band meeting Beatriz from Chile at a Brazilian bar (where folks were chanting “Ole”) the day before – she’d traveled all the way from Chile to hear her favorite song, Sleeping Monkey so they brought her up on stage to dance. Todd Phillips’ film crew shot footage at this show for what would become Bittersweet Motel and Frankenstein and Wilson were included in the movie.
