The second leg of Phish’s 2012 summer tour will feature the band’ first appearances at numerous venues beginning August 15 at Long Beach Arena in Southern California to stops at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (8/17, 18 & 19), the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, MO (8/22), St. Louis’ Chaifetz Arena (8/28) and Phish’s first-ever show in Oklahoma on August 29 at the Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City. The band will return to the south east and play Birmingham, Atlanta, and Charlotte.

Hands On A Hardbody, the new musical by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright with music by Trey Anastasio and Amanda Green, will debut April 27, 2012 at La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, CA and run through June 17, 2012. The production, based on S.R. Bindler’s 1997 documentary of the same name, tells the story of a pickup-truck competition in Longview, TX.

On Saturday, April 14th, Ben & Jerry’s and the WaterWheel Foundation will host a gathering on Church Street in downtown Burlington, Vermont in an effort to form the World’s Largest Cowbell Ensemble. Jon Fishman, drummer for the band Phish, will lead the effort. The two organizations are celebrating their 15 year partnership, and the anniversary of Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food.

Phish returns to the road this Summer beginning June 7th with back to back shows at DCU Center in Worcester, MA and ends with three consecutive nights (July 6th, 7th, and 8th) at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. As mentioned previously, Phish will play a full two-set performance at the 2012 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee on June 10th. Phish returns to Tennessee to play at the 2012 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. The eleventh annual four-day camping and music festival will be held on June 7-10 in Manchester, Tennessee, 60 miles south of Nashville. Additional artists at the festival include Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beach Boys, Bon Iver, The Shins, Black Star, Ludacris, Bad Brains, Tune-Yards, Feist, Flogging Molly, Fruit Bats and The Roots, to name a few. On Record Store Day 2012, Phish will release Junta, the band’s first full-length studio album, as a Limited Edition Deluxe 3-LP vinyl set, available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country. Junta marks the band’s second release in conjunction with Record Store Day, and the first time Junta has ever been released on vinyl.

Mike and his band are performing at the sixth edition of Jam In The Dam held at the legendary Melkweg in Amsterdam, The Netherlands March 14, 15, 16, 2012. 2012 marks the 30th anniversary of Brian Eno’s landmark tribute to the NASA moon landings, Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks. Mike will participate in the The New York Guitar Festival’s live re-imagining of this masterpiece this Friday, January 4th at the World Financial Center Winter Garden in New York, NY. Mike will perform with the Brooklyn ambient ensemble Itsnotyouitsme, legendary NY guitar master Larry Campbell and special guests David Torn, Noveller, and Tortoise’s Jeff Parker. The event is free.
