2012 marks the 30th anniversary of Brian Eno’s landmark tribute to the NASA moon landings, Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks. Mike will participate in the The New York Guitar Festival’s live re-imagining of this masterpiece this Friday, January 4th at the World Financial Center Winter Garden in New York, NY. Mike will perform with the Brooklyn ambient ensemble Itsnotyouitsme, legendary NY guitar master Larry Campbell and special guests David Torn, Noveller, and Tortoise’s Jeff Parker. The event is free.

In order to celebrate New Year’s with everyone, the band will offer live webcasts at LivePhish.com of each of their four sold-out shows (including Phish’s New Year’s Eve three-set performance) at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. LivePhish.com will broadcast a 10-camera, high definition shoot with high quality audio mixed live. Fans can tune in on their large screen TVs via HDMI-equipped PCs or Macs, as well as on Android devices, Boxee, Xbox, Wii, and Playstation game consoles.

Hampton/Winston-Salem ’97, a brand new 7-CD box set, showcasing three complete shows recorded Live November 21 & 22, 1997 Hampton Coliseum, Hampton, VA and November 23, 1997 Lawrence Joel Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum, Winston-Salem, NC, in the midst of Phish’s legendary 1997 Fall Tour, is in stores today!

Trey will launch his first-ever orchestral tour on February 9, 2012, performing with the Atlanta Symphony at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. The Trey Anastasio Winter Symphony Tour will also include performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony (2/14), the Colorado Symphony (2/28) and the Los Angeles Philharmonic (3/10). The programs, conducted by Scott Dunn in all four cities, will feature orchestrations of classic Phish songs and solo Anastasio compositions.

Phish will release The White Tape and Party Time on vinyl as part of Record Store Day’s “Black Friday” on Friday, November 25th, after Thanksgiving. Both albums will be available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores across the country.

As mentioned previously, anyone who pre-orders Hampton/Winston-Salem ’97 from Phish Dry Goods will also receive previously unreleased Hampton/Winston-Salem tracks from the Phish Archives that won’t be available anywhere else (in addition to the complete box set in MP3 format).

SiriusXM Satellite radio’s Jam_ON channel will broadcast Phish’s upcoming Hampton/Winston-Salem ’97 release, with audio commentary from Phish Archivist, Kevin Shapiro, beginning Wednesday, November 23rd at 2AM and 9PM daily, through November 28th.

Together with the WaterWheel Foundation, we’ve announced the initial grants from the September 14 benefit concert at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex, VT via the WaterWheel Fund for Vermont Flood Recovery, housed at the Vermont Community Foundation. The WaterWheel Foundation has worked closely with philanthropic advisors at the Vermont Community Foundation to jointly develop a comprehensive giving strategy for the concert proceeds. The first round of grants from the fund will be distributed this week.

Mike and his band return to the road this Saturday in Portsmouth, NH for a short and sweet handful of shows spanning two weekends on the East Coast. Tickets are on sale now for all dates.

On December 6, Phish will release Hampton/Winston-Salem ’97, a brand new 7-CD box set, showcasing three complete shows recorded Live November 21 & 22, 1997 Hampton Coliseum, Hampton, VA and November 23, 1997 Lawrence Joel Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum, Winston-Salem, NC, in the midst of Phish’s legendary 1997 Fall Tour. Hampton/Winston-Salem ’97 contains all the music played over these three shows for a total of 45 songs (8 hours of music from Paul Languedoc’s stereo soundboard mix, remastered by Fred Kevorkian). The Box includes never-before-heard material from soundchecks at both venues.
