Unfortunately, Oysterhead will not be rescheduling their Irving Plaza show that was slated to occur last Saturday night in New York City.
Page went to New Orleans this week to record some music that he’s been writing the past couple of months.
Mike is immersed in the editing phase of a feature length film he’s directing that documents the recording of “THE DEEP END”, the upcoming Gov’t Mule albums.
The first five volumes of the LIVE PHISH series finally hit stores today (with the sixth volume being released bundled with the ShowCase on October 16), and we’re pleased to announce the debut of a site specifically dedicated to the series.
In light of the tragic events that occurred yesterday, both OYSTERHEAD shows scheduled for this weekend will not take place.
On October 5, Jon Fishman will join Merl Saunders and his Funky Friends, Col. Bruce Hampton and the Code Talkers, and Sand Bear in paying tribute to his late mother, philanthropist and longtime Syracuse resident, Mimi Fishman.
Jon Fishman will add another chapter to his ongoing musical collaboration with Vermont based mandolinist Jamie Masefield when he tours the states with the Jazz Mandolin Project from October 6 through November 7.
Oysterhead’s new album, The Grand Pecking Order, hits stores on October 2 in the U.S. and Canada (see news item 4/17/01 for more info). Foreign release dates are still being finalized – stay tuned.
The final show of Trey’s summer tour will feature a special opening set by Big Joe Burrell and the Unknown Blues Band.
In addition to hosting locally based non-profits at each show, WaterWheel has also provided table space at several Trey shows for the New Power Project, a group founded by Mike D of the Beastie Boys.
Bittersweet Motel will be making its European debut at the http://www.kriterion.nl in Amsterdam, Holland on July 5 and 6 at 6:00 PM, and then at midnight screenings (12:15 am) every Friday and Saturday in July beginning July 7.
