This date is unverified and could be 11/25/85. This show featured the 1st known performance of Wild Thing. This rendition of Whipping Post contained Dark Star, The Other One and Fire up the Ganja teases as well as Norweigian Wood (The Beatles cover) teases by Mike. This show represented Mike’s second “peak” religious experience – the all time best musical experience he ever had. His first peak experience took place while jogging to The Neighbors’ house on 3/6/85. According to Mike this was “the most myself” he would ever be and he decided during this gig that he didn’t care too much about either film or engineering and that music was “the thing” for him. There’s a good story about this experience related in an interview Mike did with Mike Powers on WICB (92 FM) Ithaca on 11/16/95. Mike has called the Cafeteria inside the Haybarn a circular room. Jeff recalled staying on one chord for a really long time – being unable to change chords if he wanted.
