Show Notes

This was the third show of a 7-night tour in Telluride and Aspen, a compilation of which was released in 2006 as "Colorado '88". Jazz Odyssey is listed in the setlist where it appeared on the master cassette j-card labels but the band affectionately referred to all of Set I and Set II as the "Jazz Odyssey". The band performed the Jazz Odyssey as a trio (Trey on drums, Page on keys, Mike on bass) without Fish, who was extremely high on a nearby mountain and unable to make it down in time for the show. Anarchy included teases of Whipping Post. Fish played a trombone solo during Terrapin. During Run Like An Antelope, Trey sang a hilarious description of Fish's trip up the mountain. This show featured the 1st known performances of Mr. P.C. (John Coltrane cover) and Maiden Voyage (Herbie Hancock cover).
