Set List

Show Notes

This was the first show of a 2-night stand.  It is believed to have been a 3-set show but the setlist for set II is incomplete and set III is unknown.  Before I Didn’t Know, Trey introduced Fish as Moses Heaps and dedicated the song to Gida who had just returned from Russia.  Moses Heaps then blew a big trombone solo over the band’s doo-wop backing (no drums).  After I Didn’t Know, the band played and sang a very short “Come Back From Russia, Now Gida Jam” to the tune of Oh What A Circus from the musical “Evita”.  This was followed by the 1st known performance of Sweet Georgia Brown (Ben Bernie/Maceo Pinkard).  After Good Times, the tape side seems to end but there are a few minutes of priceless banter about Paul Languedoc, complete with “Let Paul Sing” chants.  Trey then brought Paul onstage with his hands bandaged to demonstrate his commitment.  It is presumed that this banter was from later in this show.
