Show Notes

This show was a 1-set opener for Max Creek and Third World. Tickets cost $11 for students and $13 for the public. Flyers read “General Admission — No chairs on the floor. Dance…Dance…Dance”. For their 1st known performance of Frankenstein (Edgar Winter cover), the band was joined by Dave “The Truth” Grippo and Russ Remington on saxophones and Joey Somerville on trumpet. According to Paul, the band had planned their own mini-pyro show by buying a bunch of flash pots from Vermont Theatrical Supply. They didn’t tell anybody ahead of time, so everybody in the room was startled when Page set off two huge explosions on his piano during Frankenstein by ducking under the keys and flipping the switch. According to Chris Kuroda, this UVM show was the first time he “ever touched a real light board.”
