Show Notes

This was Phish’s 1st show in Maryland, an 18-and-over gig. A newspaper listing billed the show as “Cosmic Music from Vermont.” Before Fish’s vacuum solo in I Didn’t Know, he was introduced by Trey as “Marco Esquandolas”. During Weekapaug Groove, Mike teased Life’s Been Good (Joe Walsh cover). After Alumni Blues, Trey and Fish introduced Fish’s older cousin, Cheryl. Trey then asked the audience to “come with us now on a trip through time and space to Gamehendge”, leading into the Rhombus Narration. Before Undun, Trey asked the audience to “welcome to the bandstand Mr. J. Edgar Hoover.” Fish then quipped that Undun is actually an old Frank Sinatra tune that was later covered by The Guess Who.
