This was Phish’s second performance at Walnut Creek of 9 shows to-date.  Reserved tickets cost $20.00.  The soundcheck included the 1st known Three Little Birds (Bob Marley cover) played by Phish.  This show featured the first-ever pairing of Runaway Jim > Free and the first known deeply experimental Runaway Jim.  Before Dog Faced Boy, Fish false-started Split Open And Melt a number of times.  You Enjoy Myself included Oye Como Va teases and featured Boyd Tinsley on fiddle plus a Lovin’ You (Minnie Riperton cover) quote by Fish during the vocal jam.  After this show the band and crew traveled 285 miles overnight to Gainesville, Virginia.   Runaway Jim > Free, Dog Faced Boy, Catapult, Split Open And Melt and Carolina from this show were released in 2008 on the Left Nuts bonus disc that was included with the Walnut Creek DVD.  You Enjoy Myself from this show was also released in 2008 as a bonus download in conjunction with the Walnut Creek DVD.
