This was Phish’s 1st show at the CSU Convocation Center aka The Convo – a basketball arena with a capacity of 13,489. Tickets cost $20.00. This show took place during a winter storm/blizzard. Poor Heart from the soundcheck was the slow, half-time version. Trey dedicated Good Times Bad Times to “The man in the dragon pants” (Jimmy Page). Run Like An Antelope included a Theme From The Brady Bunch tease. The encore was a tribute to John Lennon who was killed December 8, 1980 and featured the 1st Come Together (of only 3 ever – see 6/24/99 and 9/4/11) played (Lennon/McCartney cover). After this show the band and crew traveled 480 miles overnight to Albany, New York.
