This was Phish’s third (second headliner) show at SPAC. Reserved tickets cost $20.00. Acoustic Army during soundcheck included teases of Shine (Collective Soul cover). Times Loves A Hero, played during soundcheck was the1st known performance of that song in more than 6 years (since 4/15/89). Soundcheck also included the 1st known Rocky Mountain Way with lyrics played by Phish (see also 2/16/91 and 7/23/97). This show had a bit of a Led Zeppelin vibe with a Heartbreaker tease during Possum and Immigrant Song teases during You Enjoy Myself (see also 11/14/95). This experimental Down With Disease was unfinished and segued into Free. After this show the band and crew traveled 230 miles overnight for a day off in New York. The 2-CD set “A Live One”, recorded throughout 1994, was released on Elektra the day after this show. 6/26/95 Saratoga was released in 2017 at LivePhish.com.
